Delta Community Credit Union Debuts Plans For New Midtown Branch

  • April 6, 2012

Delta Community Credit Union, Georgia’s largest credit union, today announces plans for its 23rd full-service metro-Atlanta branch location, coming to Midtown late summer. Located at 80 Peachtree Place, in Midtown’s historic district, the new 4,200-square-foot branch will offer existing and new customers the same superior service and financial products that have become synonymous with Delta Community.

“Bringing this new branch to Midtown marks an important landmark in our strategy for growth and success in 2012 and beyond. We have many members who already live, work or play in Midtown, and we are committed to being accessible when and where they need us,” says Rick Foley, president and CEO of Delta Community Credit Union.

Previously unoccupied for over a decade, the new branch building lies within Atlanta’s Midtown Mile, a coordinated redevelopment initiative that will deliver over 1 million square feet of urban, street-level retail spanning fourteen consecutive blocks of Peachtree Street from 15th Street to North Avenue in Midtown Atlanta.

“In planning this location, we worked closely with the neighborhood’s design review committee to ensure that the site was pedestrian friendly and all exterior elements stayed true to the area’s eclectic feel. We look forward to serving this thriving in-town community and becoming a part of ‘where their financial lives come together,’” added Foley.

About Delta Community Credit Union

Delta Community Credit Union is one of the largest financial institutions in Georgia. It was founded in 1940 and today serves the entire metro Atlanta area, including residents of the 11 surrounding counties and employees of top businesses, such as Delta Air Lines, UPS, Chick-fil-A and Racetrac. Delta Community is a state-chartered credit union organized under the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance, and its deposit accounts are federally insured through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund. It chooses to operate as a not-for-profit credit union so it can give back earnings to its customers and their local communities. Unlike a for-profit bank, Delta Community is owned by its customers, not individual or institutional investors. Customers become member-owners when they open and maintain an account.
