Lewis Brisbois Law Firm Continues Atlanta Growth With Addition of Star Partner Thomas Cox

Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP ("LBBS") recently announced the addition of new partner, Thomas A. Cox, Jr., Esq., to its Atlanta office in Midtown.  Mr. Cox has joined the nationwide Employment and Labor Practice Group, focusing his practice on representing management in all facets of employment law, including litigation defense, counseling and training.

Previously a Partner with the Buckhead-based Atlanta office of Epstein Becker & Green, PC, Attorney Cox's litigation experience is diverse, ranging from the defense of employment disputes at all levels on behalf of employers, to commercial actions, regulatory matters, and disputes related to statutory interpretation and implementation. Attorney Cox is rated “AV,” the highest rating attainable, by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.

A popular featured legal columnist for Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine, Attorney Cox also was recognized as a Georgia “Super Lawyer” and is currently featured in Who’s Who In Black Atlanta.

Attorney Cox graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, with honors, and achieved his Juris Doctor from the Boston College Law School.  Attorney Cox is very active in the local Atlanta community, where he has served on the executive board of his local church, and served as an adjunct law professor. He also mentors youth and newly-minted attorneys entering the practice of law.

The growing Atlanta office of LBBS is led by R. Scott Masterson, Esq., the Atlanta office Managing Partner.  Attorney Cox will join John S. Snelling, Esq., a seasoned Partner who specializes in Labor & Employment litigation, in the Atlanta office along with other talented partners and associates of many specialties.
