MetroFresh Doubles its Midtown Footprint

Popular Lunch Spot Expands Breakfast, Brunch and Dinner Service

MetroFresh Inc., the popular lunch café in the Midtown Promenade, will double the size of its flagship store by expanding into the former Jersey Mike’s. The new, 2,500 square foot space will feature 48 seats including a wine and cappuccino bar, a 14-seat communal table on the patio and a larger more functional kitchen. Set to open in late February, the re-designed space will enable MetroFresh to expand its breakfast, brunch and dinner offerings.

“We’ve grown so much over the last seven years that we need more space,” said Anderson.  “The opportunity to double the size of the restaurant was just too exciting to pass up.”

Opened in 2005, MetroFresh serves healthy breakfast; creative fresh soups, salads, and sandwiches at lunch; and dinner entrees as well as off-site catering. In 2011 Anderson added a second location in the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

The expansion will enable MetroFresh to expand its “Rockstar Breakfast,” which has been the best kept secret in the city, as well as weekend brunch and catering.

Lindsay Denman, who designed the original MetroFresh brand, worked with artist Clint Bearden to create the new MetroFresh look featuring a neutral palette and materials such as wood and tile. A feature wall of unfinished wood will evoke produce crates, and industrial fans and gooseneck lighting will lend a light industrial farm aesthetic.

MetroFresh will close for renovation on Sunday, February 10, and reopen with its new fresh look on or about Thursday, February 21. Rockstar Breakfast will be served Monday – Saturday from 7 -11 a.m. and Sunday Brunch from 10 a.m. -3 p.m. Lunch and Dinner Monday through Wednesday 11am-9pm, Thursday through Saturday 11am-10pm. www.MetroFreshAtl.com
