The Atlanta Children’s Shelter has been selected as a finalist in the 2013 “Technology Jumpstart Your Nonprofit”. 

On February 4^th, 2013 the Atlanta Children’s Shelter was announced as one of the finalist for the “Technology Jumpstart your Nonprofit” grant through Milner, Inc.  Beginning February 11^th, all finalists will participate in a city wide election to determine the winner of a $20,000 technology upgrade.  For the Atlanta Children’s Shelter, a technology upgrade would dramatically improve its ability to provide the critical programs and services designed to guide homeless families with young children to self-sufficiency.  With programs like; Hire Up Employment, Early Childhood Education, and free on-site healthcare services, the Atlanta Children’s Shelter is committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness for homeless families in metro Atlanta.  The Atlanta Children’s Shelter has recently been awarded Charity Navigators 4 star Award.  This honor is awarded to those organizations who demonstrate the highest level of stewardship and organizational transparency.  Currently, the Atlanta Children’s Shelter designates 70 cents of every dollar donated to the programs and services that assist families in obtaining self-sufficiency.
