Atlantic Station to Hold Concert for Tornado Victims

Donations and goods will be collected during free outdoor concert.

Atlantic Station officials have organized a free benefit concert to help raise items to donate to victims of the recent tornado that hit Georgia and Alabama.

Called "Atlanta Gives Back," the concert will be held May 6, from 6 to 10 p.m., at Central Park on 18th Street. 

Attendees are asked to bring clothing, water, dry goods, diapers, formula and tarps, to donate to tornado victims. People also will be encouraged to text “REDCROSS” to 90999 to donate $10.

Four local bands will provide entertainment: The Mad Violinist with The Symphony Crack Orchestra, Jarin and the Crushed Ice Band, Graham’s Number and TAASK.

The event is being organized by Atlantic Station, Midtown Bridge Church and SCAD Atlanta Fashion Marketing and Management students.
