Beer Nights to begin at Piedmont Park

Enjoy a cold one at Atlanta's premiere park.

This week, the is launching a new event called "Beer Gardens at the Park."

Three times a week, people can purchase beer in different areas of the park. The event begins Thursday, June 23. 

"Piedmont Park Beer Gardens offer you the chance to relax with a beer in the most beautiful location in the city," says the conservancy in a release.

"Enjoy a cold one, and also enjoy the fact that your purchase goes towards the maintenance and improvement of this place we all love."

Here are the hours and locations:

• Thursdays at Dockside (Visitors Center): 6 – 9 p.m.
• Fridays at the Dog Park: 5 – 8:30 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday at the Pool: 5 – 7 p.m.
• Saturdays at Legacy Fountain: 5 – 8 p.m.
