Facebook to Open Office in West Midtown
Social networking website files permits for tenant finishes at The Brickworks Midtown West development.
California-based Facebook Inc., a social networking website, is opening an office in West Midtown.
The website with 500 million active users filed a permit with the city of Atlanta Wednesday for "office renovations" and "tenant finishes" at 1000 Marietta Street, suite 134.
The offices will be located at The Brickworks Midtown West development -- a 141,000-square-foot space for retail, entertainment, showroom, and commercial uses -- anchored by .

The Midtown location won't be Facebook's first office in Atlanta.
The privately-held company is headquartered in Palo Alto, Calif. and employs more than 2,000 in 15 countries, according to a company factsheet.
