Luxury Condo Project Planned for Peachtree and Seventh

Units will start in mid-$600,000 range.

Atlanta developers Robin Loudermilk and Dwight Bell have scrapped plans for a rental apartment project at Peachtree and 7th streets.

Instead, they will build luxury condominiums with prices starting in the mid-$600,000s.

Seventh, as the building at 867 Peachtree St. will be called, is the first major condo project in the city in several years.

The developers say now is the right time for new condo project because there's increasing interest in apartment-owned homes in Midtown but tight inventory.

What's more, they see more demand for higher-end units.

To that end, plans call for 23 two- and three-bedroom condominiums averaging 2,000 square feet per unit. The homes will have spacious open floorplans with top-of-the-line designer appliance and finish packages.

Each floor will have two to three condominium units and the project is to have two penthouse units.

On the ground floor, plans call for 4,700 feet of retail.
