Each week, we'll try to bring you a Midtown Patch clip just showing you a little piece of what makes Midtown so unique.

This week, we feature Jerry Spraggins, a singer from Mississippi who chose to strum his guitar and sing some ditties on the corner of Crescent Avenue and 13th in Midtown on Wednesday. While the businessmen and women hurried to their luncheons and back to work, they slowed a little to throw some cash Spragens' way or just to take in a few seconds of his comforting voice as he sang along to the soulful notes of his guitar.

He said he could be found on YouTube. This is one of his videos and here is another.

Does anyone know if busking is legal in the city of Atlanta? I've already wanted to try it, but heard it was "discouraged" by the police.
