Planning for the Midtown Neighbors' Association’s 2012 Midtown Tour of Homes is underway and there's plenty of opportunities for local residents to get involved.
This year’s Tour takes a new approach beginning with a change of season with the Tour set for November 17 and 18. The Midtown Tour of Homes, a fundraiser that began in 1971, was staged during the spring in 2011. The event typically features between nine and 15 homes each year.
Several great homes have already been lined up for the Tour, but the MNA is currently seeking assistance in several areas. Do you love organizing events? Is your passion sales? Can you manage volunteers and scheduling? If so, the MNA needs you!
Volunteer opportunities are available in the following:
Sponsorship: Take the lead on pitching and securing sponsorship for the event. The MNA will start you off with a list of past Tour sponsors and help you put together the 2012 Midtown Tour of Homes Sponsorship Package.
Event Planning: Take the lead organizing and executing certain aspects of the event, including Home Owner/Home Captain Meet & Greet; Volunteering Meet & Greet and Post Tour Mixer.
Volunteer: Take the lead on scheduling, organizing and executing volunteer aspects of the event. The MNA already has a great base of volunteers just waiting on you to slot them into homes. Additional volunteers may need to be recruited depending on the final number of homes and current volunteer availability.
If you’ve wanted to be involved with the Tour, here’s your chance. Bring your ideas, friends and enthusiasm and join the fun. Email MidtownTourOfHomes@midtownatlanta.org for more information.
