New Midtown Restaurant Coming To TROIS Space

Space at 1180 Peachtree has been vacant since 2009

After sitting vacant for more than 2 ½ years, the former TROIS space at 1180 Peachtree in Midtown is set to welcome a new restaurant tenant.

Patch has learned that Legacy Restaurant Partners has applied for an alcoholic beverage license for the 14,413 square-foot space that has been empty since the French restaurant TROIS shuttered its doors in September 2009 after a three-year run.

According to the application, the restaurant will be called Allee (14th St. Bar & Dining Room). An allée is a walkway lined with trees or tall shrubs, which is what is outside the glass-covered space in the building’s plaza level garden.

A spokesperson with Legacy told Patch that the name of the restaurant has not been finalized, but declined to comment further. Legacy operates several Atlanta restaurants including STATS, Glenn’s Kitchen, and Der Biergarten.

A representative with the 1180 Peachtree management team confirmed to Patch Thursday morning that remodeling of the space has already begun and the restaurant is targeting an opening before the year is done.

No word yet as to what the food concept will be, but according to the liquor application, it will be open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and employ as many as 66 people.

When opened, it will join Tap and Highland Bakery Midtown as other eateries located at 1180 Peachtree, which is at the corner of Peachtree and 14th streets.
