New Upscale Furniture Store Opens on Midtown Mile

Simcolifestyle opens this week on Peachtree Street.

Simcolifestyle is a high-end turnkey furniture concept,” says owner Simon Guobadia, who this week opens his company’s first Atlanta showroom on the Midtown Mile. “In many respects it’s also an interior design company. We have the resources to get the job done.”

The “job” to which he refers is making an empty space into a functional yet stylish room.

“Our typical client is one that is too busy or just wants the interior design completed in the shortest time possible,” he says. Simcolifestyles can complete a living room, dining room and bedroom combination in two weeks or less.

“We have a 280,000-square-foot warehouse facility in Miami, Florida,” he says. It’s stocked not only with furniture but also television sets, stereo equipment, dishes, utensils and other necessities such as bedding, salt and pepper shakers, irons and ironing boards.

“At the end of our work our client customer can move in with just a suitcase,” says Guobadia. “We’re a complete solution for our typical customer.”

Customers include developers looking to transform empty high-rise condominiums into swanky abodes and sports agents too busy to furnish an apartment that they plan to use only sporadically. “We build relationships,” says Guobadia. “Folks that would benefit from our type of solution include developers, Realtors, brokers, interior designers, athletes, agents” and anyone looking for upscale stylish interior
design packages.

Simcolifestyle stocks 11 basic collections which start at $12,999. Buying a collection ensures that the designs are consistent throughout the three-room packages. It is possible to customize and buy pieces individually, but the best value is realized through package prices.

Guobadia is confident his store will succeed.

“Our business model has done very well in Miami and Soho, New York,” he says. “There are a lot of high rises in and around Miami where the real estate was not moving, but developers who bought our collections have been able to sell units as furnished units. We’re not just outfitting demo units, but interior design for practical purposes. We’re not waiting for customers to come to us, we’re going into the community, working with businesses and developing partnerships to help deliver solutions.”

Midtown Atlanta was attractive because “for the most part it resembles the success we’ve seen in Miami—there are a lot of high rises and lots of folks in the right income bracket. Midtown is the perfect place to start and then we’ll expand into the suburbs and work across metro Atlanta”

A Grand Opening VIP event will be held at the new store on Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 8 to 11 p.m. Invitations are limited, but registrations can be completed online at www.simcolifestyle.com.
