I nominate Dave Alexander at American Haircuts (20 10th Street). He is easily one of the best barbers in the city! The whole experience at American Haircuts is top notch - not to mention an excellent value. You can enjoy a glass of scotch while you wait. And each haircut is finished with a straight razor neck shave and their signature hot towel treatment. I highly recommend this place to anyone who lives or works in Midtown! They are good people...

American Haircuts in Midtown. The shop is clean and stylish and has a pleasant vibe. Wallace is the best and the hot towels feel great.

American Haircuts? $28 for a regular haircut is ridiculous when most charge $15 - $17.
