Owner of Campagnolo to Open New Midtown Eatery
New venture, to be named Henry's Midtown, is to open in former Mint3 Thai & Sushi space.
The owner of the highly popular Campagnolo plans to open a new restaurant in Midtown at 132 10th St. near Peachtree Street — in the space that had been Mint3 Thai & Sushi.
Restaurater Maureen Kalmanson said the concept for her new spot, Henry's Midtown, is upscale with a menu centered around chef-driven sandwich creations and other items.
The plan also is to serve mostly craft beers, Kalmanson told Midtown Patch.
Henry's Midtown, named for one of her dogs, will be non-smoking, joining a growing trend in Atlanta restaurants that have opened in recent years.
Kalmanson, who also owns the the Peasant restaurant, said she picked the 3,000-square-foot facility because "I think it is the perfect location of what I want to do. I think we can put something really pretty on that corner."
She will go before the Midtown Neighbors' Association License and Permit Committee Tuesday night and then Neighborhood Planning Unit E on March 5 to make a presentation as part of her application for a liquor license.
Assuming the permitting and other city and state regulatory benchmarks are met without any hiccups, Kalmanson said she anticipates opening in April.
