In January of this year he was paroled from his latest prison stay as the full sentence ran until 2014. He has been incarcerated several times in the last 20 years and after his arrest this month, bond was set at $45,000.

Elsewhere, Atlanta police are looking for a trio of gunmen who robbed two men in the parking lot of the Kroger at 725 Ponce de Leon Ave. late Thursday evening.

The victims, who were with two witnesses, told police they parked in the lot around 11 p.m. They were walking to the Masquerade at 695 North Ave. when they were approached by two gunmen in the rear of the Kroger parking lot, nearer to the North Avenue entrance by the truck loading docks.

One of the gunmen approached the two victims and began asking a series of questions according to the report.

They asked the victims where they were from and if they had any money.

As the victims began walking away, the two gunmen — each armed with a handgun — pulled their revolvers grabbed one of the female witnesses and demanded money.

The two victims handed over their wallets and mobile phones.

At that point, a third robber pulled up in an orange-colored Honda Passport and drove off with the two gunmen, heading east on North Avenue.

That part of the Kroger lot had no cameras so there are no images of the suspects, but the victims and witnesses gave the following descriptions:

  • Suspect No. 1 — A black male approximately 15 years of age, wearing a yellow t-shirt and armed with a handgun.
  • Suspect No. 2 — A black male approximately 28 years of age, wearing a white shirt, red and black shorts, a red Atlanta Braves hat, and also armed with a handgun.
  • Suspect No. 3 — A black male driving an orange Honda Passport.

Anyone with any information is urged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404.577.TIPS (8477).
