Original story:
An arrest has been made in the Tuesday night Midtown carjacking of a Bentley belonging to Robert “Bobby” Wilson, better known as R&B singer Bobby V.
Atlanta police say a second suspect has not been located as of early Wednesday afternoon during the crime that occurred in a parking lot adjacent to the Hot Beats Recording Studio at 1200 Spring Street just north of 14th Street.
According to APD Officer Gregory Lyon, the high-profile singer, who attended North Atlanta High School, was approached shortly after 8:30 p.m. by two black males wearing gray hooded sweatshirts and armed with a gun. Wilson complied with the robbers and allowed them to leave in his red 2013 Bentley.
A lieutenant working off-duty heard the radio lookout and quickly located the Bentley abandoned at the nearby Arts Center MARTA station. APD Zone 5 units canvassed the station and located one of the suspects, who was positively identified by the victim and witnesses.
The singer, whose estimated net worth is $6 million, is known for his 2005 hit “Slow Down” among others.
Wednesday afternoon, he tweeted that was thankful that he wasn’t killed: “GOD saved me last night.. Thank u Lord life is so precious&we take it 4 granted!! Everything u wanna do, DO IT!pray&be thankful 4 wht u hav!”
This is a developing story…

Why is it relevant to know the victim's net worth?

Call Crimestoppers? Can't the arrested guy give up the name of his accomplice?
Just feed him one of those (unidentified meat here) sandwiches you get in the klink and he'll squeal like a pig.

Good job APD. I've seen the Atlanta Police make arrests on a large number of high profile crimes recently, including the Ford Factory lofts murder and the Ponce and Moreland shooting last year. It's impossible to catch 100% of the criminals but I'm glad to see APD give it their all. Great job to the off-duty officer who jumped in to grab the one suspect.

Brilliant. Carjack someone to drive three blocks to MARTA. This is a new low in stupidity. Congratulations to the parents of Robert Unrico McFarland for not only raising a criminal, but also the world's dumbest criminal.

The real question is how bobby valentino can afford a Bentley. He must have spent his entire life savings to buy that car.

Net Worth of = estimated worth based on ownership of luxury cars, an illiquid home, jewelry with no re-sale value, and a couple hundred thousand dollars in the bank.
Net worth of $6mm = Actual worth of about $500k.
