12^th & Midtown, the more than 3-million-square-foot master-planned mixed-use development, announced Tuesday that Republic of Couture (ROC) will join the growing list of retailers and restaurants to be featured in the heart of Midtown.

The $2 billion 12th & Midtown project is located at Peachtree and 12^th streets and the nationally acclaimed fashion retailer is scheduled to open in spring 2013 in a 6,500-square-foot space in Phase 2 of the development. 

“ROC is unlike any other store in the Atlanta market and is the perfect tenant to kick off the fashion component at 12^th & Midtown. With its broad array of price points and designer collections, ROC will undoubtedly become a leading shopping destination for Atlanta’s fashion conscious,” Shirley Gouffon, senior vice president of retail leasing for 12^th & Midtown and Selig Enterprises, said in a press release.

ROC, a multi-brand retailer offering the latest men’s and women’s fashions, shoes and accessories, will be the first national fashion tenant to open at 12^th & Midtown. Infused with an opulent South Beach atmosphere, high-end designer brands, as well as low to mid-priced unique styles, the ROC flagship Atlanta store will be the seventh store for the company, which was founded in 2002.

Linda Miller of LM Global Retail Services represented the tenant in the transaction.

Last month, 12th & Midtown announced the addition of Chutney, a full-service Indian restaurant with a decidedly upscale and modern twist, and Taco Diner, a traditional Mexico City-style taqueria, to 77 12^th. The third phase of the 12^th & Midtown master plan, 77 12th is a 23-story mixed-use tower consisting of 330 luxury one-and-two-bedroom apartment homes atop 20,000 square feet of retail space and restaurants.

The property's initial opening of the sixth through ninth floors is scheduled for May 2013 and the anticipated completion of remaining floors and clubhouse amenities by October 2013.
