Sausalito West Coast Grill's Health Inspection Sails South
The Mexican and Latin cuisine fast lunch spot in Midtown scored a 48 earlier this week in a health inspection performed by the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness.
As Midtown Patch does every Friday, here's another round of recent health inspection scores performed by the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness for restaurants in and around our community.
A food service establishment that is graded as a “U” and does not earn at least a grade “C” within 10 days of receiving the “U” will be requested to voluntarily close until all violations are corrected and/or have enforcement action taken to suspend or revoke the food service permit.
Sausalito West Coast Grill, located at 1389 Peachtree Street in Midtown, was cited for 13 violations, including a pair that are a known risk factor for foodborne illness.
The restaurant, which opened in 2008 and specializes in Mexican and Latin cuisine, had scored three C's and an A in its previous four inspections dating back three years according the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness website. The A, as well as one of the C's, were scored during follow-up inspections. The previous four scores are as follows:
Inspection date: February 11, 2011: Score: 79, Grade: C
Inspection date: February 3, 2011: Score: 73, Grade: C
Inspection date: January 27, 2010: Score: 91, Grade: A
Inspection date: January 25, 2010: Score: 71, Grade: C
Patch contacted the restauarant early Friday morning seeking comment about this week's score, but has not heard back as of this late afternoon posting.
Here are the scores for this week's report.
