Atlanta police are looking for two men in connection with an early morning robbery and shooting on Juniper Street near Ponce de Leon Avenue.
The shooting victim, Joseph Carter, is a security guard at 116 Ponce de Leon Ave.
The robbery victim, 25, told police he was walking down Juniper at about 3 a.m. when he noticed a vehicle following him, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
The victim said a man jumped out of the car and robbed him of his wallet at gunpoint, the newspaper said.
Carter, hearing the victim's screams, ran outside and was shot. He was treated at the scene.
The car the robbers were in was later seen by police, who pursued.
But the two mend ditched the vehicle on Boulevard and escaped in an apartment building.

Another useless report by the Patch. The perpetrators were men. OK, I'll be on the lookout for, and suspicious of... men. Age, height, weight, race, hair, eyes, build, scars, tattoos, clothing, vehicles, tag? And they escaped into an apartment building?! Which one? If there was some positive ID, perhaps the police could have pursued further. I'm getting a bit frustrated by these stories about violent crimes around my house with no details and no resolution.

Still waiting for the day some of these thugs run into the wrong person and end up with a few holes in them.

The only description provided by the APD is that they were black males. They were last seen near a building located at 583 Boulevard.
