Music Midtown got off to a rocking start in Piedmont Park Friday. Blue skies, great live music and thousands upon thousands of fans joined in on the second year of this favorite Midtown festival. 

Crowds enjoyed amazing sets from artists including; Van Hunt, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, T.I. and The Avett Brothers. 

Rounding out the night was a two hour set from headliners the Foo Fighters who were joined on stage with band friend Joan Jett.
