Sketch of Piedmont Park suspect released
Man reportedly threatened to rape a woman during broad daylight last week.
Atlanta police released a sketch Wednesday afternoon of the suspect who reportedly attempted a sexual attack on a woman last week in Piedmont Park.
As reported at Midtown Patch, a woman was near the lake around 2 p.m. on Dec. 6 when a clean cut black male approached her and allegedly said, “I wanna rape you, you sl***t” with what she described as “a despicable voice.”
According to the APD spokesman John Chafee, the woman immediately ran away in the direction of a pair of Piedmont Park Conservancy workers. Those two men followed the suspect to near Grady High School, where they witnessed the man change shirts before losing sight of him.
The suspect is described as a black male in his early 30s with brown eyes, average build and standing approximately 6-foot-2.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Atlanta Police Special Victims Unit at 404-546-4260 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.

Ditto. I was the victim and this guy was a total predator. I would LOVE it if they could catch him. Except for the first officer that took 15 minutes to get there, APD has been great about getting the word out..

I live right by 12th and Piedmont, I personally have had a lot of those people arrested and played a key role in cleaning up the bench area... I would like to run into him and put his head through the parking fence at Piedmont Crest....
