Westside Eyes in the Sky

Recent armed robberies and carjacking outside the Northside Tavern prompts owner to install new lighting and cameras high in the sky surrounding the exterior of the popular blues club.

A new week is upon us and we’ll celebrate such with another Midtown Patch Pic of the Day. Today we’re on the westside at the corner of Howell Mill Road and Brady Avenue.

This is at the Northside Tavern (1058 Howell Mill Rd), where in a recent weeks there have been a series of armed robberies and attempted crimes executed against patrons exiting the blues club. Last week, Atlanta police released composite sketches of the suspects reportedly involved in a recent carjacking in the area.

The recent crime wave prompted Northside Tavern owner Ellyn Webb to install new lighting and cameras high in the sky surrounding the exterior of the popular blues club in an effort to let would-be criminals know they’re being watched.
