When Does the Time Change in Fall 2012?

Daylight Saving Time is ending, and clocks will have to turn back Nov. 4. Do you like the process?

Soon it will be that time again -- time to "fall back" in 2012.

The annual end to Daylight Saving Time comes early in November -- Sunday, Nov. 4, to be exact. At 2 a.m. that day, time goes back an hour. So forewarned is forearmed.

That does not apply if you live in Arizona or Hawaii, which do not recognize Daylight Saving Time. Ditto for all of Asia, the world's most populous continent.

In Europe, the time falls back on Sunday, Oct. 28.

The attached screen grab shows which parts of the world (those colored red) do not observe Daylight Saving Time.

Midtown, do you like Daylight Saving Time? Or do you think time should remain the same year-round? Tell us in the comments below.

What's the point in changing time?

I dread this time every year. I love the daylight hours and hate leaving work in the dark to come home in the dark. (I work 20 minutes from home) Why do we have to make our lives more difficult by taking away even one hour of daylight time? Schools could change their time instead of almost all of the rest of us changing our karma. People need daylight. It is proven to be a component in many individuals mental health. Leave the time alone!
