More About Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech
The Ferst Center for the Arts is a performance facility on the Georgia Tech campus. The center has a 1,159-seat auditorium and art galleries. The center features a proscenium stage, orchestra pit and theatrical lighting and sound systems. The $7.5 million center, which was paid for by the Callaway Foundation and the state of Georgia, opened April 13, 1992 with a performance from pianist Andre Watts. The center is named for Robert Ferst, a generous Tech alumnus.
