 lo  exhibition of photographs by French photographer Pierre Gonnord. Rec
 ognizing the 50th anniversary of the death of Nobel Prize-winning  autho
 r William Faulkner\, the Gonnard conducted a three-month residency in  G
 eorgia\, Alabama and Mississippi. Through the faces and landscapes  he e
 ncountered\, Portraying the South captures a glimpse into the soul of  t
 he Deep South\, offering a timeless\, unclassifiable\, explosive and  ri
 veting portrayal of the American Southeast.    The "Portraying the South
 " exhibition and lecture are organized as part  of Atlanta Celebrates Ph
