Screenwriting 101

Michael Lucker is a writer, director, producer and creative consultant with twenty years experience creating film, television, animation and digital media. He began his career writing and directing television commercials in college in Boston. Soon after he landed in Los Angeles working in production on series for ABC, NBC, CBS and HBO before taking a job as assistant to Steven Spielberg at Amblin Entertainment on feature films Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade, Arachnophobia, Joe Vs. The Volcano, Always, Back To The Future ll & lll and Jurassic Park. 

Starting October 10th, Michael will be offering a six week course in the art and craft of screenwriting.   

During this fun and inspiring six week course, you’ll learn about Idea, Character, Plot, Scene Design, Dialogue and Rewriting through engaging lecture, film clips, screenplay excerpts and original class exercises. 

Ultimately, you will leave the course having completed your own 15-page short film script! You get to apply what you’re learning, ask questions and get weekly feedback, thus ensuring you're walking away with a toolbox full of new story techniques – and the knowledge to use them! As an added bonus, at the end of the course Michael will provide personalized notes on your 15-page script.
