Going “Green” & Looking Good in Midtown

Midtown Alliance tree well adoption program forms an integral part of the Midtown EcoDistrict sustainability strategy by the use of low-water, urban tolerant plant species.

Patch Staff Report

For the last dozen years, Midtown Alliance has added more than 700 trees to streetscapes throughout Midtown, expanding the canopy to more than 2,000 street trees.

Each sits in a tree well that offers commercial tenants and property owners an opportunity to enhance the quality of the public realm while adding a splash of individual character. The tree well adoption program forms an integral part of the Midtown EcoDistrict sustainability strategy by the use of low-water, urban tolerant plant species.

You can easily participate in this community program by simply identifying which tree wells you would like to adopt and maintain within the Midtown district. To date there have been 108 tree wells adopted.
