Book Launch

Mark Sweatman will celebrate the launch of his memoir, Amputated Yet Whole: How Adversity Made Me Complete, at 10th and Piedmont on Thursday, Sept. 5. There will be light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Mark writes about the string of adversities that led him to attempt suicide and his subsequent triumph over that tragic period in his life. This November, Mark will walk 120 miles from Atlanta to Birmingham to raise funds and awareness for Limbs for Life, a global nonprofit which provides prostheses for amputees who cannot otherwise afford them.
