Boyd Collar Nolen & Tuggle Partner Named to Weltner Family Law American Inn of Court Board of Directors

ATLANTA, July 18, 2013 – Boyd Collar Nolen & Tuggle, LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of its partner Kathleen (Katie) B. Connell to The Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law American Inn of Court’s board of directors. In this role, she will work to promote the mission of the organization, which promotes professionalism, collegiality and continuing education among Atlanta’s family law community.

 

Connell serves clients facing a variety of family law matters, including divorce, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, custody and post-divorce matters. Gov. Nathan Deal recently appointed her to the Georgia Commission on Child Support. She previously served on the State of Georgia’s Electronic Child Support Worksheet Task Force, working with fellow practitioners and judges to improve Georgia’s Child Support Calculator.

Connell is an active leader within the State Bar of Georgia’s Family Law Section Executive Committee, and she previously chaired the organization’s Young Lawyers Division Family Law Committee. Connell also provides pro bono legal services, serving as a guardian ad litem to children involved in contested custody battles.

Connell earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Auburn University, and her law degree from Mercer University.
