International Mother Language Day Celebrated at Marwah Studios

“Languages are the most powerful instruments of preserving and developing our tangible and intangible heritage” said Sandeep Marwah President World Peace Development And Research Foundation & Ambassador of IHRO on the International Mother Language Day Celebrated at Marwah Studios. “ All moves to promote the dissemination of mother tongues will serve not only to encourage linguistic diversity and multilingual education but also to develop fuller awareness of linguistic and cultural traditions throughout the world and to inspire solidarity based on understanding, tolerance and dialogue” added Marwah while addressing the media persons. International Mother Language Day was proclaimed by the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in November 1999. “Let us join our all forces to promote linguistic diversity and multilingualism as a key element in our efforts to build a better world and a life of dignity for all” said Ban Ki Moon Secretary General of United Nation.
