Beautiful Dogs Wanted For Dogs of Piedmont Park Calendar

You can showcase your dog in the Piedmont Park Conservancy's 2013 Dogs of Piedmont Park Calendar.

You know your dog is beautiful. Now everyone else will.

The Piedmont Park Conservancy is looking for entries for its 2013 Dogs of Piedmont Park Calendar.

You can purchase a calendar cover or see your dog’s shining face for all of October. The money raised goes toward the maintenance and care of Piedmont Park’s dog park, as well as the Piedmont Park Conservancy's mission to enhance and preserve Piedmont Park as a vital, urban green space and as a cultural and recreational resource that enriches the quality of life for all Atlantans.

You may remember the days when Piedmont Park was run down. Buildings were in bad shape, bathrooms weren’t working and the playgrounds weren’t safe, the conservancy says.

Now, on any given day, there are plenty of people at Piedmont Park. Nearly 85 percent of the city’s festivals are held there, but they don’t fund maintenance of the park. The conservancy supports the park with money raised through donations, facility and pool rentals, league play and partnerships with programs such as Summer Camp and Green Market.
