Several scenes for "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" were shot in early February at Forrest Hills Elementary School in Decatur.

The movie is about a 10-year-old boy, Timothy Green, who is played by Cameron "C.J." Adams. The young actor was last seen in the movie "Dan in Real Life."

According to notices left on doors of Decatur homeowners in early February: Green in the movie mysteriously shows up one day in the small rural town of Stanleyville. Though he is young, small and somewhat "odd," Green's outlook on life injects feelings of hope and thoughts of possibilities into those around him, inspiring people of Stanleyville to be the individuals they always dreamed of being.
