Cafe Mezo Restaurant & Bar Coming to Midtown

New restaurant will be at the corner of 5th and Juniper streets in the house that used to be The Fifth Ivory Public House.

Our Midtown Patch Picture of the Day is of the new eatery Cafe Mezo Restaurant & Bar, which will open soon at 794 Juniper Street in Midtown.

Cafe Mezo will be operated by Kemal Karsli, who used to run Agora Cafe on 9th Street. An exact time of opening is not known at this time, but the business was issued an alcohol license by the city in October.

It reportedly will offer Greek cuisine.

The remodeled Victorian house is the former home The Fifth Ivory Public House, which closed this past fall after opening in 2012. The piano bar is reportedly looking to relocate.

Other restaurants that have attempted to make it a go at this location include Murphy's Den, Avra Greek Tavern and Cavu Midtown Bistro.
