Saturday signals the arrival of a new intown farmers market as Freedom Farmers Market at The Carter Center makes it debut.

According to its website: it was formed by a small group of local farmers who wanted to bring their Good Food to the surrounding neighborhoods. All of the vendors will have a dedication to sustainable production practices and represent the best of local food production.

The Freedom Farmers Market name is derived from the place (Freedom Park) and a sense of independence (the market is managed by the farmers themselves).
