Georgia Tech Community Participating in Service Project

The effort will benefit the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children.

Georgia Tech’s Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement is encouraging the school’s community to work with incoming students on a service project to help Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children, it writes on its website.

Things such as toiletries and snacks are being donated through Aug. 15.

In the post, civic engagement coordinator for the Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement, Sarah Perkins, said: “It’s an opportunity to introduce new students to the tradition of service here at Tech and remind current members of our community that there are ways for them to get involved, too.”
