Halloween Haunted Happenings in Midtown

Some are scary, some are pure fun, but Midtown's weekend Halloween festivities are sure to be entertaining for all ages.

With Halloween less than a week away, parties and seasonal festivities are reaching a spooky crescendo, so if you’re looking for a boo-rific good time this weekend, look no further.

We have a breakdown of Halloween happenings throughout Midtown, but of course, if we’ve missed something (and with soooo much going on, we know we have) please let us all know and add the event to the comment section below.

Scary Party 3: It’s a block party on both sides of Crescent Avenue at the intersection of 12th and 13th streets as organizers attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest costumed pub crawl and help raise money for Atlanta Fundraising Foundation. Ticket includes admission into 10 bars & clubs (Flip FlopsTin Lizzy's,  Ri RaDeadwood SaloonCosmo & LavaSutra LoungeKoo Koo Room, Front Page News & Fins), five hosted shots, virtual raffle, drink & food specials, after party & three costume contests for Best Group, Male & Female Costume with $100 cash. Friday, Oct. 26. 8 p.m. – Midnight.

Boos & Brews: Atlanta Beer Festivals is hosting this event at SweetWater Brewery with live music and a costume contest. Friday, Oct. 26. 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.

Atlantic Station’s Halloween Fall Festival: Join Radio Disney and Midtown Bridge Church for an afternoon filled with activities for the whole family including sand art, make-and-take crafts, carnival games, face and hair painting and temporary tattoos. Parents and kids can show off their creative side during the kids’ costume contest, and dogs in costume are also encouraged. There’ll be trick-or-treating door-to-door in the shops around Atlantic Station, too. Saturday, Oct. 27. 1-5 p.m.

Stake at STK: Vampires, vixens and mischief-makers will descend upon STK Atlanta for Midtown’s sexiest Halloween bash. The sleek lounge at STK Atlanta will be transformed into a luxurious den of carnal delights for its vampire-themed Halloween escapade. Sip on Vampire Kiss Martinis and pumpkin mojitos while satisfying your carnivorous cravings from executive chef Jeremy Miller’s Halloween-inspired menu filled with mouthwatering temptations. Saturday, Oct. 27, 8 p.m.

Nightmare On 13th Street at CosmoLava: Organizers report that more than 2,000 people attended last year’s event as the Midtown lounges again will transform the back parking lot into “the Hottest Halloween party in the state.” There’s a $1,000 costume contest (Best Overall | Sexiest | Group), 4 Dj's, 4 dance floors, a massive deck & Games (Pumpkin Bowling | Bones In a Haystack | The Wheel of Death). Saturday, October 27. 9 p.m. 

Spiralween 2012: This year Park Tavern will again be the spot for outrageous costumes, live music, DJs, dancing, Go Go Dancers, and of course lots of BOOOOOOOS!!! Cover band favorite The Breakfast Club will be performing live and there’s a $1,000 costume contest, too. Saturday, Oct. 27, 9 p.m.

Goblins in the Garden: Bring young goblins dressed in their Halloween best and enjoy musical performances, pumpkin decorating, a ride-on-train, games, pony rides, tricks, treats and more at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Plus, explore Scarecrows in the Garden as the garden is stuffed with more than 100 wacky creations. Sunday, Oct. 28. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Center for Puppetry Arts: Jon Ludwig & Jason von Hinezmeyer's cult favorite, The Ghastly Dreadfuls: The Last Ghast! is recommended for ages 16 and up. The Headless Horseman of Silly Hollow is a kid-friendly comedic version of the classic Washington Irving short story and geared for ages 4 and under. Both are playing at selected times this weekend.
