Meet Your Neighbors at Midtown Mingle
The Midtown Neighbors' Association will hold a Mingle in Midtown on July 25. And tonight, they will vote on a liquor license application for Music Midtown.
You promised you would get out and meet people this year. Remember?
Well, it’s almost August already and the only new friend you’ve made is Penny from “The Big Bang Theory.” News flash: She’s not real. But hey, it’s never too late to chat up your neighbors over a cocktail.
So head on over to the Nook on Piedmont Park after work, for the Midtown Neighbors’ Association Mingle in Midtown this month, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, July 25.

You can take advantage of $5 drink specials or melt your stresses away over classy cocktails like the Blueberry & Basil Mojito or Crackarita.
For the event, the Nook is putting out a sampling of its signature Totchos. That would be tater tots served like nachos. Who doesn’t like bacon and cheese sauce? Mmmm.

And after meeting some of your neighbors, you can stick around to match wits with them during Mingle for Wednesday Night Trivia.
Or if you want to get involved, the association is looking for community input tonight on a special event application for the Music Midtown festival, planned for Sept. 21 - 22. The neighborhood group says the festival will impact safety, education and traffic.
They will vote on it at their monthly License & Permit Committee meeting tonight, July 24, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Babs Midtown, 814 Juniper St.
They will also consider applications for two other events:
Pet-A-Palooza: Saturday, Oct. 20 - noon – 8 p.m.
Atlanta Pride Festival: Friday and Saturday, Oct. 12-13
And they will review applications for the following restaurants:
La Tagliatella (Italian Restaurant): 933 Peachtree St NE #919 (New Business)
Blake's on the Park: 227 10th St (Change of Agent)
Mint3: 132 10th St (Change of Ownership)
Either way, Penny won’t even miss you.
