PATH Foundation Launches Free App to Navigate Network of Local Trails - Go Explore

The PATH Foundation recenlty announced the launch of a new app that will let families, couples, and outdoor enthusiasts explore PATH trails using mobile devices.
According to a released statement, "the free app will provide on-the-go GPS directions and general information about PATH’s network of pathways throughout Atlanta, along with local weather forecasts and news articles."

The goal is to create a modern tool that will enhance people’s overall experiences on PATH trails, which have been built over the past 20 years. “For me, the ability to navigate quickly to the parking spots along my favorite trails – like the Silver Comet – is important,” said Alex Taylor, senior vice president of field operations for Cox Communications. “Everyone should find this a very useable app for getting out on PATH trails.” Taylor, a PATH board member, helped forge the development of the new app.

PATH Executive Director Ed McBrayer said the app will be instrumental in helping more people discover trails throughout the Atlanta area. “It’s exciting to see our vision for a network of trails coming to fruition in Atlanta, and this app gives people the information they need to navigate and enjoy them all.”

Download the free app, for Android and iOS platforms, in the app store by searching for PATH Foundation.
