Recycle Your Christmas Tree

Recycled trees make mulch, fuel, wildlife habitats and more.

Now that Christmas is over, people who wish to recycle their live Christmas trees have two different options for disposal.

If you are already serviced by Fulton County residential trash pickup, just place the tree out with the other trash on the assigned pickup day for yard debris. Make sure trees are completely stripped of decoration and are no longer than four feet in length.

You also can bring your tree to Keep Atlanta Beautiful's "Bring One for the Chipper" event on Jan. 7 at Home Depot, 650 Ponce de Leon Avenue or 2525 Piedmont Road.
