Safety Team Hauls Away Bin from Ponce

Local safety advocates remove 'messy' bin from Ponce de Leon Ave.

Seven safety advocates recently hauled off a large clothing bin from Ponce de Leon Avenue in Midtown. 

In an email Saturday, Peggy Denby, president of the Midtown Ponce Security Alliance and executive director of Keep Atlanta Beautiful, exclaimed:

"The messy ol' clothes bin that sat on Ponce for many many years is now gone!"

The pink-colored bin sat close to Ponce in the shopping center with the  and , near the intersection of Monroe Drive/Boulevard.

Denby and six people hauled away the bin: Robert Spence, John Wolfinger, Steve Gower, Don Jones, Ed Seemann and Sgt. Bill Cooper. The bin was taken to a salvage yard in southeast Atlanta.
