Trees Atlanta intends to plant more than 90 street and yard trees in the Midtown neighborhood Saturday morning and is looking for more volunteers. Those interested are asked to bring drinking water and gloves (but Trees Atlanta will be providing both) and meet at the Pencil at Charles Allen Drive and 9th Street.

Volunteers will be planting trees in the landscaping strip between the sidewalk and the curb and in front of houses. Trees help provide shade, slow traffic, reduce crime and add beauty to the neighborhood.
