A Horse Walks into a Bar on the Westside ...

The day a horse named Rock n' Roll came to Northside Tavern.

You meet a lot of characters at , a Westside dive bar that welcomes nightly some of Atlanta's best blues musicians. But it's a rare day when a horse walks into the bar.

"We have a lot of asses in here," John Sarine, a bartender at Northside Tavern, said. "But, not usually a horse."

On Wednesday afternoon, McDonough resident Brannu Fulton brought his American paint horse Rock n' Roll to the bar off Howell Mill Road. Fulton, a horse enthusiast, is known for riding his horses around urban areas, according to friend Evelyn Anne Clausen.

"He mostly rides around Midtown and Westside Atlanta," said Clausen, who snapped some photos of the horse's recent visit. "He only rides on the sidewalk."

She said Fulton has three horses and offers riding lessons and trail rides.
