Traffic Alert: Peachtree Street Closed for BET Soul Train Awards
Area around the Fox Theatre will be blocked off until Friday morning.
The Fox Theatre at 7 p.m. tonight is hosting the BET Soul Train Awards.
Due to the event, which is estimated to draw 4,000 attendants and hosts of spectators, Peachtree Street is temporarily closed from Ponce de Leon Avenue to 3rd Street. The street was blocked off Wednesday night and will re-open Friday morning.
Ponce de Leon Avenue will be down to one driving lane or completely blocked from Peachtree to West Peachtree streets.

There also will be delays on West Peachtree and 3rd Street between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Thursday for the red carpet event in front of the Fox.
The Soul Train Awards will air on Nov. 27 at 9 p.m.
