Volunteers Needed: United Way Needs Your Help

Find ways that you can help the Midtown community.

Want to do something worthwhile with your free time? Did you make a New Year's resolution to give back to your community? Here are opportunities for you to make a difference in Midtown:

 

  • The United Way of Greater Atlanta is in need of a quality control specialist to help measure the effectiveness of agencies listed in United Way's 2-1-1 database and to collect information on unmet needs in the community. Hours are flexible with a three to six month commitment preferred and a weekly commitment of five to 10 hours. Get details here.
  • The United Way of Greater Atlanta is also looking for community investment volunteers to participate in the United Way's annual Investment Process, which will allocate funds to community programs. Full details
  • City Camp at Wilderness Works needs overnight chaperones. Volunteers are needed for overnight chaperoning and to accompany children on Saturday’s field trip. City Camp, a key project of Wilderness Works, provides economically disadvantaged children from across Atlanta overnight stays in a dormitory setting over school season weekends and longer stays during summer months.
