Atlanta Botanical Garden Presents: Garden Gates

This new exhibition of garden gates by Atlanta metal artist Andrew Crawford is on display during Atlanta Blooms.  These iron works of art are presented among hundreds of thousands of tulips and daffodils in full bloom.

The gates range in size from monumental to diminutive and include such works as Sunflower, Twisted Bar and Threaded Gate. Some of the gates contain representational forms, such as flowers, birds, and vegetables, while others embrace soaring curves or abstract industrial shapes. Gates have a long association with gardens, serving to invite or deter entry depending upon the garden’s design.

Andrew Crawford leads exhibition tours on Saturday, March 17, 1:30 p.m., and Saturday, April 14, 10:30 a.m. Free with Garden admission.
