Basic Bird Photography

Learn how to capture great bird photographs in this two-part workshop and begin your journey of becoming the nature photographer that you’ve always wanted to be!

Atlanta Audubon Society is happy to host Jim Wilson, author of Common Birds of Greater Atlanta, share some of his photographic expertise with you during this eight- hour workshop. Jim will cover topics such as lighting, exposure, depth of field, scene composition, accessory equipment, blinds, focusing, background and set ups. You’ll learn how to obtain the bird image for your particular objective. Pam Higginbotham will talk about how a backyard bird sanctuary benefits your bird photography as well as "on-the-go" bird photography. She will give her ideas on gear for travel photography (on foot, by car, and airplane).
