High School Band and Orchestra Students Tryouts for "Into the Woods"

The Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra in partnership with the Alliance Theatre is offering a special invitation to high school band and orchestra students to participate in a musical theatre training and performance opportunity in the Alliance Theatre’s Fall 2011 production of Into the Woods. 

Orchestra Instrumentation:

4 Violins
4 Violas
4 Cellos
2 Bass
2 Flutes
2 Clarinets
2 Bassoons
4 Horns
2 Trumpets
2 Percussionists

Auditions will be scheduled at student’s convenience through July 31st.  The audition will be informal and will require a solo and some excerpts from the musical.

Rehearsals begin on August 8; dates and times TBD based on student/musician availability.

Each student will be asked to play at least half of the 29 scheduled performances.
