The inaugural symphony gala presents the swinging sounds of jazz with acclaimed trumpeter Chris Botti. Guests will begin their evening at 7:00 p.m. with a pre-concert cocktail reception which includes a signature cocktail, hors d'oeuvres, and the opportunity to meet Mr. Botti. The performance is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.. It will be followed by a “Champagne supper” – a buffet dinner featuring Southern cuisine. A string quartet of Atlanta Symphony Orchestra musicians will perform during the meal. After dinner, patrons will have the opportunity to bid on luxury items – such as a year of VIP treatment with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, a 3.5 carat diamond ring from Brown and Co. Jewelers, a three-night resort package at The Cloister in Sea Island, Ga., and an international hotel package from InterContinental Hotel Group – in a live auction.
