Broadway Dreams 2012 is debuting EXPRESS YOURSELF on the Alliance Mainstage in the glorious Woodruff Arts Center. The creative team of Broadway Dreams Foundation has put together an exciting evening that celebrates self-expression within the world of musical theatre. Over 150 of the brightest young talents from Atlanta and its neighboring cities will bring to the stage some of the most distinguished musicals of the last 65 years including Andrew Lloyd Webber's “Evita”, Irving Berlin's “Annie Get Your Gun”, Bob Fosse's ”Fosse”, the hit Off-Broadway musical, “Beehive”, and the new West End musical that will take Broadway by storm next year, “Matilda”.   EXPRESS YOURSELF will present highlights from these powerhouse musicals, plus some additional treats, including such well-known songs as "There's No Business Like Show Business", "Don't Cry For Me Argentina", "Stop! In The Name of Love", "Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)", “Pure Imagination”, “Wishin’ and Hopin’”, "Proud Mary" and "Jesus Christ Superstar". Broadway Dreams is honored to have as its musical guest this year, Tony Vincent who starred on Broadway in "Rent", "Jesus Christ Superstar" and “American Idiot", made his West End debut in "We Will Rock You", and was recently seen on NBC's "The Voice". With an intense 6 days of rehearsal, the students, alongside 7 Broadway mentors and stunning talents direct from New York including Tituss Burgess, Nicholas Rodriguez, Meg Gillentine, Andrew Palermo, Claci Miller, Craig D'Amico and Skye Mattox, will work together to collaborate, create, and express themselves through their passions of singing, dancing and acting to create an unforgettable evening where Broadway dreams become a reality.
