Mini Art Exhibit Opens at Tech Center

Ferst Center of the Arts at Georgia Tech opens its first curated art exhibit.

Mini artworks from a range of artists are now on display in Midtown. 

The at Georgia Tech has curated its first art exhibit, Miniature Perspectives. The exhibit features mixed-media pieces 12-by-12 inches or smaller. The exhibit is on display through Sept. 30.

The 46 artworks were produced by 23 visual artists, ranging in skill from local students to established artists from Kentucky, Chicago, Tennessee and Georgia.

More than 200 works were submitted during a call in April. 

The exhibit features a variety of mediums: photography, watercolors, oil paintings, collage, screen prints and etchings. The artwork costs between $25 to $600. Proceeds from art sales will benefit the Ferst Center artist residency program.

The Ferst Center will host an opening reception for the exhibit on Aug. 24 at 6 p.m.

The galleries will be open to the public every Tuesday in August from noon to 4 p.m., every Wednesday in September from noon to 4 p.m. and before all evening events. Schedule an appointment by calling 404-894-2787.
